The Fey Alex thriller ebook

The Fey Alex thriller ebook

I am so very sorry that I let the negative reviews delay my reading of this book! I really do not have a clue why the reviews are so negative, because this book was AMAZING!
It is not aften that we find a story in which the female lead is so strong and kickass that she is the stuff of legends. There was a wonderful mix of reality and fantasy in this book, and I thought that it was very nicely handled and well blended. Despite the grumblings I have noticed from people saying that The Fey was not realistic I have to say there was not one moment in the book where I said to myself "That's not how that is done" or "That is so unrealistic" The story was fluid and graceful and had a really down to earth vibe to it. There was no grand standing or airs to this piece. It smacked of authenticity while giving me an inkling of other wordly charm.
The characters were strong and well written! I came to care for every person in Alex's life and I am determined to read the rest of the series as well as the Denver Cereal books just so I can follow the amazing lives of all the wonderful characters.

Claudia Hall Christian has created a winner with Alexandra Hargreaves and her fiercely loyal team, including a close-knit military unit, family, friends - and Jiminy Cricket. We first meet Alex as she fights her way back from devastating injuries and from that moment, the action does not stop. The death of a close friend haunts Alex, but before she can move forward she must face that awful day - and the man responsible. In order to face him, she must find him - before he kills her. With the help of her friends, her twin brother, a Senator and yes, Jiminy Cricket, Alex sets out on a path that will force her to confront the demons within her as she fights to save herself and those she loves.

Claudia's characters are vivid and real and her story is a first rate thrill-ride. It's engaging, fast-paced, fun, and suspenseful. Lucky for us, Alex's story doesn't end here. This is just the first book in the series.

I'm not generally into thrillers, but I liked the idea of a strong female spy. By chapter 4 I was hooked. I couldn't finish this in one sitting, but I found myself waking up in the mornings thinking about it.

Alex Hargreaves Drayson- The Fey- is a strong, intelligent, energetic and courageous heroine whose story only gets more complicated- and engrossing- as it continues. It's also filled with many fascinating supporting characters. In a way, those characters as a whole are also the story- as important as they are to The Fey, as her bonds to them are tested one by one, she has to dig deep into herself and figure out both how well she can do standing on her own and how much she, ace intelligence Green Beret, can put aside knowledge and listen to her gut.

    A character you'll root for.

I have read some of the negative reviews, and want to come back to say:
If you were looking for something that stuck to the absolute TRUTH, maybe you should be reading non-fiction.
If you didn't expect some fantasy, maybe you should look up the word FEY.

I stand by my original review. Grab the book, a cup of tea, and read to your heart's content.

I always wonder, when reading a new author, whether they will make their female leads wispy and fainty and wilty ... because I cannot stand that type of woman - in fiction or in real life! I need not have worried about "The Fey." Alex is a strong, intelligent woman with a huge heart and a mystery to solve. She has fiercely loyal friends, family, and teammates, and she must set about finding who tried to kill her, and why. Her loved ones are behind her (beside her, in front of her, and above her!), and do whatever it takes to help her see her mission through to completion. A little bit of everything for everyone, "The Fey" is a quick read, intriguing from the start. The imagery allows you to place yourself within the story and live it as if it was your own. Before you know it, you will be reading the last scene ... and you will be left wanting more, but feeling satisfied all the same.

Do yourself a favor, order the book, curl up in your favorite reading spot, and get comfortable for a few hours!

I am so glad I downloaded this book! It was great. The author did explain why the main character was called"the fey". I loved the relationship the friends had with each other. I have read a lot of books and this book was so good, I couldn't hardly stand to leave it until I finished it.You won't regret reading this book if you loved romantic suspense and its so great to see such a strong female heroine!

Absolutely LOVE this book, and can't wait to read the rest of the series. As a voracious reader - I read 3-4 books each week (ebooks now) - I'm ALWAYS looking for an exceptional book/series. I've found one in this - the Alex The Fey series. It has it all: non-stop action and adventure; a strong female lead who is very human; strong friendships and family; characters with courage and integrity; nasty evil folks. I can't recommend this series enough. I'm just sorry that it stops at 4 books.

I downloaded to my kindle because it was a freebie. I was hooked! Still am. It's a thriller, action packed, romance, family, contemporary with humor mixed in. I went from never hearing about this author to the other end of the spectrum- I am now a fan. Download it, you'll enjoy it.

I got this book as a free book unsure if I'd like it, but I loved it. After finishing this book I turned around and bought the other two of the series without thinking twice. Since buying the series I have reread the book repeatedly. It is a book full of action as well as parts of love. I wish to see more The Fey soon. This book kept me guessing and made me a lifetime fan!
